Unity in Mission authors contend that the Christian life represents a spiritual journey in which Christians are saved, flourish spiritually, and minister to others, individually and collectively. The authors assert that focusing on unity in mission and emphasizing greater cooperation on behalf of the mission of the church will foster increased cohesion among Christians. Contributors to the volume discuss existing ways in which Christians share unity in mission through their ministry of word and sacrament, and challenge readers to consider additional ways of creating greater unity in mission. They offer evaluations as well as solutions for engendering greater understanding and appreciation among Christians so that greater unity in mission may be achieved.
